Poor Schumi (sobs unconvincingly)
Jun. 1st, 2003 06:06 pmAs Der Spiegel Online has it: "Trulli hat mich aufgehalten". Trulli? Truly? Held up the World Champ? Later Michael blames the tyres too.
Having missed Austria (bad decision that: it's our favorite circuit; Monaco, our second), this was a good race. Not jumping up and down yelling with excitement good, but concentrating on each pit stop good. So there was no overtaking. So what? No dangerous crashes (tho' H-H's removal of one wheel looked nasty). No bad thing after Jensen's lucky escape on Saturday morning.
We do love a race where we want both the first and second placed drivers to win. And Alonso did good too. Not quite such a good day for Ralph (or Ralph) or Rubens. It'd be nice for Webber's car to last out a race, bearing in mind how well he qualifies--consistently.
We do love getting the reports promptly in German. Even with the Schu-mania and the rather touching concentration on the other German competitors. Not what you'd expect, really. Whatever happened to impartiality?
