Bleugh, part ii
Jan. 14th, 2005 01:03 pmFeeling "better" doesn't seem to run to doing a full basket of ironing. Still, half is better than none.
During the head achiest day and night when even spoken words on the radio were intolerable, I discovered just how loudly the little cat snores. And the fact that I can hear the big cat cleaning when he's in another room. Noisy beasts.
Feel kind of homeless too. Now that the work in next doors' roofs is finished, I could go and work at the (now conveniently networked) PC upstairs where it's warmer and quieter. Especially since the work in next doors' back gardens (and a little bit of ours) has started which makes the kitchen a little less than private and the rest of downstairs a tad noisier. But the "it's not a road at all it's the Forth Bridge" situation continues out the front: there's someone digging up the road and footpath (as ever) out front. Plus there's the noise from the building site across the way. There are just too many drills and lorries.
So I'm bleugh, the world's pretty bleugh. But, hey, I got a plumber to fix the burst pipe yesterday before midday and for a little less than £100. Love that plumber.
