Catch 'em young

Looby Loo's homework (I know, homework for five-year olds is a sin!) is to write instructions for making a jam sandwich. Not quite the standard tech. author's test of tying a shoelace, or tie, or whatever (I did always wonder why these tests always involved tying), but close enough.
