the false equivalence of breast milk and shit and urine
Ooh, isn't that an absolutely lovely piece of politicisation.
See now the fundamental problem here is something I would like to see changed: having to feed a baby in a public loo is nothing short of unhygienic to me. However, to try to make it a profound philosophical issue as opposed to considering it a simple consequence of cluelessness on the part of building designers is, not to put too fine a point on it, as dumb as the original design decisions. This kind of over-interpretation of the problem is yet another way in which militant breastfeeders are likely to wind up marginalising themselves and making themselves look like unreasonable extremists: if you create deep philosophical rifts between yourself and mainstream society, you destroy your own route to an improved life.
The question it leaves me asking myself is this. What do the Boob Nazis want? Genuine change, or simply to create and define a community in which they feel vindicated in their mistrust of the oppressors, and can enjoy their victim culture in peace?
