Today I baked mince pies. Mincemeat improved by the addition of some of yesterday's rum.

While I wouldn't go quite that far, I do admire your position.

My father has said that when his father came back home at the end of WWII, he (my grandfather) had made friends with a senior petty officer on the troopship and thereby acquired a bottle of over-strength Navy rum, which only came out for rum sauce at Christmas.
