These are some of the photos I've taken in past years at Ally Pally.

Actually, with the grid layout and the number of stalls in the hall, the best way of orienting yourself is by keeping track of the round window (which I'd love to reproduce as a patchwork quilt)

at one end and the organ


at the other.
There's quite a lot of round around the place:

I took this while hanging around wating to get a coffee, I recall.
Most of my photos are from outside, where the crowds were thinner, especially later in the day when everyone (including me) had acquired a large number of, admittedly mostly squishy, bags and packages. Also, the beautiful structure with patches of decay is fascinating:



It's either the local vegetation is trying to get in or the jungle inside

is trying to get out.
It's not all decay. There's the window, almost as lovely viewed from outside,

and those roofs.


And, of course, you must never blink:


Or tickle the lion under his chin:

There, I did say not a ball of yarn in sight. And no people. (I don't really do people.)
