"Can I have my ball back, please?"
Well, not this time.
But daring rooftop rescues of stranded drones do enliven the evening.
(The major problem with the lost balls is to know if they belong to the boys on the left or the "boys" on the right. I know who the drone belongs to.)

Date: 2018-07-25 06:15 am (UTC)The annoyi ng thing for us is the extremely solid fence they have around their garden - ti's very nice to look at and we're considerign a similar , if lower, one ourselves when our current fence needs replacing, but it's REALLY solid, more than capable of taking the battering two active boys can give it when kicking/throwing/batting a ball around in the garden.
The THUMP, THUMP, THUMP of the ball hitting the fence echoes up and down the street. Given the father's complete lack of social skills (and complete lack of interest in anything that doesn't bother him), we know it's not worth complaining about it (and really the boys are very nice and aren't deliberately making the noise, it's just a byproduct of their play and their parent's choice of fencing), but the other day a neighbour from further down the street asked if the noise bothered us, and said he was going to complain.
I wished him luck but warned him he's unlikely to get anywhere.
