Apple Oddities

Yesterday, I quartered an apple that had come in Thursday's organic veg box. Inside I found, three seeds already sprouting. So healthily that I've popped them in a pot to see what comes up. The flesh of the apple was just starting to brown, but was edible and highly flavoursome. I assume that the fruit, non-British, took longer than normal to arrive and, instead of being a touch underripe, had aged. There was no hint of this from the skin, which was bright and glossy, nor the hardness of the fruit when squeezed.

I blame the pandemic/brexit for this.
