Plus ca change,...

Just found this (while checking the results of the Beckermet Village Fair for familiar names): D-Day for Egremont Swimming Pool

Ho hum. Closed for fourteen months, eh? It seemed always to be closed when I was at the school: sad in the Summer, but such a relief in the Winter. Shivers. (Probably the reason, however, that I can't swim well.) It was always the roof or bad cracks then, too. Or the odd case of arson damaging the newly-repaired roof.

The best story, however, has to be on the Sellafield (yup, that Sellafield: why do you think the raven has two heads?!) page: Farmers Raging Over Fox Family at Sellafield Always was a good place to see wildlife. I suppose they could just train the site's police dogs to chase foxes. Whoops, that's probably about to be banned, innit?!
