Where's the week going?

We seem to be spending money like water (the reasons for which see pianino). We're baking bread seemingly by the ton, or maybe the tonne, but most certainly the kilo.

We're sure there's other stuff going on. We've not caught up with it, or it, us. Unlike the weather.

Yesterday, to celebrate the coming of Autumn, LL and the ravens got thoroughly soaked. Wet through to our underwear. Ready for our mugs of cocoa. We'd've liked to spend more time out in it, especially after Saturday night's poor showing (rain-wise, at least: the party was good!), but LL is no lover of drenching downpours.

Hooray for the weather!

The brief stroll around Comberton this afternoon with fresh, even chilly, winds, and bright sunshine, was wonderful (the lack of a receptacle for the sloes was a mild frustration only). The view from the 'bus looking along the Backs--the deciduous trees on the turn but the willows still weeping green, the various roofs and pointy bits poking out above--reminds us that we like this place, at least for about two weeks in late September post-tourist herds and pre-student hordes.
