An Accumulation...

... of little things.
Thursday evening, having been a good parent and spent money in Border's on Looby Loo (admittedly on books for her that we liked too), we got home to find a book on Samurai sword manufacture that had been passed onto us from a friend (who is now owed something equally nice in return). This may be bad news for the RPG campaign our alter ego inhabits: she can already bore for Britain (or wherever) on the subject of swords. It gained us a few odd looks at Looby Loo's ballet class on Friday too.
On Friday, the designer skirt we'd won on eBay arrived. It fits. It's very pretty. And rather pink. Silk does drape beautifully.
Saturday, after Looby Loo's piano session at Cambrdige Pianoforte Centre, we headed off, being that side of town with the car, to the wholefood warehouse and stocked up on: big bags of nuts and dried fruit and cashew nut spread and local honey and 500g of pistachio halva and a walnut cake as a treat. We don't shop there often enough: the prices are good, there's planty of organic produce, and things that aren't normally available in bulk are sitting waiting. Twelve vanilla pods anyone?
Sunday's brunch, organised by yonmei, with a nicely-sized gathering of folk, was great fun. We only burned a little in all that sun.
And, after ten days of bolshy behaviour alternating with almost hysterical fun, Looby Loo finally managed to explain what was bothering her--via the imaginary friends and their worries. We may have our less hectic and belligerent girl back again.
