Heigh! Ho!

Heigh! We've just found someone's already set up a feed for [livejournal.com profile] twas so we don't have to do all the hard work! Now we won't forget to look each week.

Ho. The cats went off to the vet yesterday for boosters, anti-flea injections and worming. Plus the usual health checks. They're both still losing weight--a good thing. Little's shoulder has nothing obviously wrong with it, despite the fact that she's limping fairly frequently (I'm told the vet checked back over the records at this point, remarking that we were some of their longest standing customers, to get the complete story of the cat that decided to go on three legs). So we've got to keep a log of when and how often and how bad. Big's urine, despite the almost complete switch to urinary cat food, was still way too alkaline and had traces of blood in it. So he goes back in three weeks for another check on that. The diagnosis is possibly stress. The cat that eats, sleeps, practices his howling for five minutes every morning, and, given the opportunity, beats his sister up is stressed. He doesn't go out and we don't have a huge feline population using our back garden. If Little, hounded by her big brother, jealous of the little girl that came along and rather displaced her, and altogether more needy, had been diagnosed with stress, we might not have been surprised. But Big?

Since butterfly spotting seems to be in favour, on the way home from school Looby Loo and the ravens saw two yellow and one brown/red in the distance and then a very fine Peacock sunning itself on the lane.

Spring's sprung.
