From the Indy: Scots and Irish join forces to create a Celtic whisky (link will die in a day or two).

Hum. Paint me unconvinced. But then I prefer single malts to blands [for once the typo hits the (rusty?) nail on the head! blends] anyway.

A blend of just two malts does sound different from the typical blends.

A quick Google says as well as Welsh whisky there is a Cornish distillery which is too new to have anything aged to release yet, and a couple of Breton distillerys, one of which uses buckwheat rather than barley.

I knew about the Welsh, wondered who else had been missed, and searched for Cornish.

Buckwheat? That sounds interesting.

What's next - one world, one whisky?
