la_marquise_de_ asked (and who are we to disobey the aristocracy?). Our answers are:
- Total number of films I own on DVD/video:
Video's easy. I believe it's one, in a box in the loft, purchased just before the VCR was nicked in 1991.
DVD's not much harder: I count six of our extensive collection as mine (or rather, five plus the one scene in The Princess Bride that I actually like). The extensive collection runs to ten in total, the remainder belonging to Looby Loo (3) or all of us (1). M has none that are specifically his. - Last film bought:
Half of the Barbie Fairytopia DVD that Looby Loo saved her pocket money to pay for (asking a child that gets 60p pocket money a week to save for the full price is too mean). The last complete one was the DVD of the December 2004 CSYM concert (much twinkling). - Last film that I watched:
On TV, Mostly Martha, which I've watched twice (want to buy) and about which I have a long currently incomplete post lurking somewhere in the interstices of the PC's hard drive.
At the cinema, The Magic Roundabout. - Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me, in no particular order:
Tough one this (if I give five now, by lunchtime I'll've remembered the five even more important ones that aren't listed here):- Mostly Martha
- A Knight's Tale (which is probably my Princess Bride; actually my Princess Bride may be The Rocky Horror Picture Show)
- The Search for Spock (just beats The Wrath of Khan for me)
- The Three Musketeers (Oliver Reed, ah, Oliver Reed and Roy Kinnear; no other version will do)
- Being There
- Pick on five people. Tag five people and have them put this on their journal.
