With a mac and deliciouslibrary software you can just use a webcam to read the barcode, and it gets everything about the book, including a cover picture if available, off the web. Quite magical!

Yup. Sadly, I don't have quite that sophisticated level of kit. Also, many books sans ISBN which require manual entry.

I enjoy the physical handling of books anyway. The benefit of today's activity is that all Looby Loo's books that were on the floor or in her bed (20-odd in bed, probably at least one per doll or soft toy) will be reshelved again.
