Seems a Long Time

PC went off for its upgrade on Friday and finally returned this evening.We can really appreciate the broadband connection now the obsolete motherboard's not slowing things down.

On the downside (well, there had to be, didn't there?), the old keyboard won't work without a connector we don't currently have and we hate the substitute. Sounds not working at the minute. And, more annoyingly, the trackball, which was working perfectly on Friday morning when we backed up, seized up. Does the gunge inside solidify if the ball's not spun repeatedly? How was more gunge getting in when the thing wasn't actually being used?

So we've caught up with reading the backlog of email and much missed LJ entries. Now to add
