The good:
- Placed confirmed on Manchester Radio Astronomy course next year
- Bought dress to wear to wedding in August (now only need shoes and a new handbag)
- Finished a pair of socks
- Watched Looby Loo song as part of a 1200-strong massed choir in the Albert Hall
The relief:
- The car that took out the traffic lights outside the house this morning when its driver fell asleep at the wheel swerved right (so we still have a car and a front window)
The less good:
- Insufficient studying
- Insufficient writing
- Insufficient reading time (and I'm beginning to feel the need for actual new books)
Goes off muttering: I have not yet bought books this year; I will not buy books this year.

Date: 2009-06-07 11:26 pm (UTC)All a bit of a panic: I had intended to apply to do the Manchester course next year, but it's now my last chance as it's all going to stop. So I put in a very hasty application--far scarier than just paying up for the OU--at the end of last month and had to keep my fingers crossed.
Of course, I now have a dilemma as I'm not sure what to do next (or even in the potential empty Autumn, if I finish the current stuff quickly): going back to maths was lovely; planetary sciences is lovely; cosmology, lovely. And I can't fit all of it in. (Odd: when I was a "proper" undergraduate I ultimately had no problem in deciding where to specialise.)
