I actually quite wanted to support one candidate (I can only vote in a borough election this time) and this person seemed to me to be genuinely able - albeit in a quite non-political way (i.e. spotting that there is a logistics problem, and shouting at the people responsible until they agree they will Do Better Next Time - but they haven't been shouting for long enough to show whether they can effect change, or only a promise to change).

I have never not voted (apart from illness and finding myself absent*), and always voted for a candidate. But 'none of the above' has almost always been my first preference. Maybe I should start blanking.



* hence the joy of postal voting
