Writing/Critiquing Groups in London

In the hope that as is often the case lj knows the answer, does anyone have info on sf/fantasy writers' groups in London that are welcoming new members? (This is to help out someone who's asked to join CWIL in Cambridge but who will actually be living in London. [Tho' the person in question sounds so interesting I might want to keep them for us!])

I know of one, which a couple of real life friends are in -- don't know if it's recruiting. Ipurplecthulhu is in it, I think.

Yes I am...

We've just got a couple of recruits so are a bit full right now, and we're definitely a 'writing to get published' group, so the crits are meaningful and not just ego booing if that makes a difference.

Would this be anyone I know?

Ah, I thought I remembered you were involved in one.

I'd say he's pretty definitely looking for a writing to get published group--and you're unlikely to know him.

I'm going to email him and say he's welcome to join us in Cambridge, but could I also offer to pass his details on to you in case he'd be more interested in a London group and you have space?
