Or, at least, irritants.
Little is rejecting her recent favouritest cat food. (And is boxing boycat ears to steal their suppers: they are eating the last of the cat food specifically prescribed fornher, 'cos she wouldn't eat it.)
The cable feed for the TV and hence radio in the living room has been disappearing intermittently all day. Annoying in itself. Worse when I find the plugging in of the new DVD has caused random unplugging of other stuff including the hi-fi's amplifier. So no CDs. I give in and watch a (bad) DVD.
My sewing machine is dying. The bulb has blown, and winding thread onto the small spools for under the machine is proceeding by fits and starts due to the stickingness (stickyness, literally) of the drive belt. I stop trying as I don't want to risk the motor going to. Ah well. It's not been serviced for thirteen years (and before that possibly never). Crosses fingers for obsolete (this was my grandmother's machine and elderly when my mother inherited it in the late '60s) parts at the repair shop.
So frustrating. I have a knitted bag finished bar a lot of i-cord for the tie, and lining fabric and wadding cut and basted for a quick quilt and sew. And spare fabric to fit at least one internal pocket, too. It needs the machine, tho'.
The wind and rain didn't dissipate all day, so I went out for bread and milk in the dark and gale-wracked evening rush.
Still, I did fix the misbehaving desktop PC wot couldn't find the internet.

Date: 2012-11-25 09:10 pm (UTC)Problem solved, getting her to eat the prescription food then, right? ;) Just make her think it's for the boy cats. Better boycat than boycott, I always say. Well, I actually don't always say that, but I am trying to be silly, even if I'm trying at times.
