My Left Foot

Passing the cut price shoe shop on the way home this evening, we noticed neatly labelling each pair of shoes (or boots or trainers or slippers...) an identical sign bearing the legend "BUY TWO GET ONE FREE". So do we get to choose whether the extra one is for our right foot or our left? Same style or different? Same size or--Oh, they mean two pairs.
