My darning session on M's smart sweater (not so much of the smart with all the mending maybe, but loved anyway):

The holes:


Sometimes a good match is not the best match, but a close fit with a good mix of shades is. I found some variegated sock yarn, split it into two-ply strands and got to work.
Hole number one, front and back:

These are actually darns two, three and four on this sweater.
"Workshop" complete. The scissors and scissors keeper in the first shot were bought as a kit at K&S at Olympia a couple of years back. I bought the matching needle case kit last October--and finished it last week.
