Experiment

Tescos tempted me to buy a bottle of St Peter's Gluten Free. Why not? I thought. I miss beer; I don't miss the swollen knuckles (note this is not due to me becoming violent after beer drinking, merely the swelling up of finger joints). So yesterday I drank a pleasant enough lager-style 2.1 units of the stuff.

All seems OK.

(Now a visit to the Beer Festival later in the month to see who else is doing drinkable gluten-free beer is a definite possibility.)

Old Speckled Hen do a gluten-free version that appears to a) be properly free of gluten and b) indistinguishable from the real thing (tested of course on non-coeliacs).
