We have a leaky roof, just beside the chimney stack that runs down the corner of the master bedroom. There's plaster been patched there before. We don't know if it's through the thatch or the small area of tiles or the mortar in the chimney stack.

Fortunately, LL heard the dripping.

Our last old-build damp patch was also a chimney stack leak - we got that fixed earlier in the year. Now we have a damp patch in the corner of one of our brand new doorways. We don't know what's causing it yet. The perils of new build!

There must be a sweet spot when a building has no "I'm new" faults and no "I'm ancient and and falling down" problems. Not that anyone's likely to hit it.
