Success (partial )

One very pink, very Flower-Fairied dress (There's a small picture of the fabric here: it's the "Scattered Fairies on Pink" in the centre. Quite liked the blue version myself—that's colour not subject matter. Blue Flower Fairies, now that's an idea I really could go for!<1>) completed. Quick and Easy 3 hours my foot! The hem took more than that. Even taking out the time wasted due to my own incompetence, it was never going to take three hours.
Time to make my own skirt in triple-quick time before the weekend.
2.5k of vampire drivel somehow fitted in too.

<1> I rather fancied using some of the pink version to line an otherwise very sober business-suit type jacket. Now if the fairies were engaged in less than cute activities too....
