Gadgets, Gizmos, Gobbledygook

A small yellow pot-bellied dragon is just building up a head of steam in the kitchen. (Actually, he's so small, he's probably more dragonet than dragon.) Yesterday, he did battle with the kettle, which is now gleaming naked on the hob, stripped bare (or almost) of accumulated gunk. Today comes the dragon's big test: the stove. He's hissing in anticipation, already.

OK, so actually it's a hand-held steam gun rather than your actual fire-breather, per se. But he's the kind of dracontine creature you might find in your wood shed, though this one eats water and wouldn't appreciate having leaves fed to him. (I'd link to the poem, I'm alluding to, but haven't googled a link that seems "official", so I shan't (hell, even a poet's gotta make a living): it's "A Small Dragon" by Brian Patten.)
