Double Insomnia

In a fit of exhaustion carried over from Friday afternoon's complete konking out, on Saturday evening we watched Insomnia on BBC4. Had we felt enthusistic, we could, through the wonders of pay-per-view also have watched, not quite simultaneously, not quite in synch, Insomnia. Very bleak. Quite gripping.

Birds on Bike

Sunday we ventured out on a bicycle for the first time in about eighteen months. We stopped because cycling with the presistent cough that plagued us after the horrendous bout of 'flu wasn't good. Cycling with LL in the child seat also became impossible, partly due to her increased size and weight, partly due to her habit of leaning the wrong way around corners. So, before cycling to Grantchester for second time ex-empleyer's barbecue, M removed kiddie seat from the ravens' bike. Bliss. Even without LL, the added weight and change in balance due to the kiddie seat had made us feel unstable and frankly unsafe. The joy of whizzing off with no such encumbrance, along relatively empty Suinday lunchtine roads in perfect Autumn weather.
