That was painless! A big cheer for the folk who created the climate prediction software. Didn't even have to twiddle proxies around.

Hurrah!

Now, let it rain, or snow, or whatever.

Actually, what with the coverage on Radio 4 (and, from the comments we heard about Radio 5 Live, the folk on that channel too) and in the BBC online email and no doubt numerous other places too, we'd expected to have a slow download or inaccessible sites. No such problems. And thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pickledginger for jogging our lapsing memory or we'd have forgotten about it first thing.

Elsewhere

Having a fit of wanting to be in another existence, elsewhere, in one of those infinite parallel universes. We have a couple of favourites:

  • Utter blissful emptiness, this universe features a solar system that has no earth, no human, or other terrestrial, life. Peace.

  • The ravens have a busy life zipping around in their Caterham 7, flitting between their beautiful and isolated barn conversion, their successful organic micro brewery and nipping off to the odd poetry reading to promote their several prize-winning books of poetry. The ravens own a dog, a well-stocked drinks cabinet, and no ties.

So, would anyone sles care to suggest thier favourite parallel universe?

The introductory posting, short essay length (and deliberately without a cut tag, we're afraid), is now in [livejournal.com profile] pianino for anyone that's interested. We're aiming to post a couple of times a week.
