It's just a thought, but if California can somehow end up with Arnie, what have we in store? Can't be a film actor as we don't have the industry, but a soap star might fit the bill....

We've always thought the true anarchy was an unattainable ideal. Now it seems we're all set to relegate democracy to Cloud-Cuckoo-Land too.

Today is National Poetry Day (tho' we don't seem to have heard anything but verse so far: Notional Poetry Day?). Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day. Next week it's National School Meals Week.

Why can't we reinstate all the saints' days (the Pope presumably would approve since he's seemed so intent on creating more of them)?
