Le Weekend

Cooked Sunday lunch for guests. Have not done that for so long. Was reminded that we are shy of one pretty serving dish.

Went to see the Cottenham Brass Band play at the Leper Chapel in the late afternoon. Medleys from Broadway musicals, Buddy Holly, Tom Jones; a couple of hymns; plenty of marches. It was sunny and there were strawberries and cream in the interval. English summertime, only interrupted by four passing goods trains and three speeding motor-bikes.

Watched Highlander on Saturday night and Spiderman on Sunday night. Proably a good thing we didn't stay up and witch [now that was a predictive typo] either Robocop or Terminator II. Our brains have warped sufficiently as it is.

Oh, there was a Grand Prix, wasn't there? Rubens overtook some. The rest as per usual. Sigh. Repeats: Not allowed to hex Schumi. Looby Loo would not approve.
