The amazing recuperative powers of cats
Jul. 23rd, 2011 11:21 amA, probably pain-killer fueled, small white cat spent yesterday evening chasing a particularly tricksy moth around the downstairs. She ate the gravy from around a sachet of wet food, a couple of cat biscuits, and drank a whole carton of Whiskas cat milk. Mostly she's been parked on my lap, rather warm, and slightly mucky.
This morning I got two pills down in fairly short order. She's started to clean herself up a bit. (I'm still considering giving bits of her a wash.)
I'm in a quandary about the cat milk. She's on a renal support food: high protein and fat, low carbs. I assume catmilk, as well as being low on lactose, is similar and, therefore, I hope not too harmful. Pro tem, I'm buying more as it's what she wants and extra liquid might dilute her urine. But I'm not sure about long-term: I'll be asking the vet on Tuesday.
