Horns of Dilemma
Nov. 1st, 2002 01:12 am6000 words into a short story, which is going--
- better than we could have expected
- places we hadn't thought of
- to take at least another day to finish a first draft.
Waiting for the off is the NaNoWriMo opus.
What do we do? Sacrifice some of the time for the latter in order to finish the former, knowing that the chances of our completing 50k words in a month are slim without additional complications. Drop the short story and hope to pick it up in December, having failed to finish the novel. Aaaaaargh!
The ravens head for bed, with at least 2k words written today.
