Life stages

I've bought a table lamp. What it's like (retro, with a ceramic base with a large dice, and an orange shade) is not really relevant. I've never bought a table lamp before, desk lamps, yes, and the occasional, mostly paper globe, lampshade. But a table lamp, it's so homeowner-y. Like I've moved on from student to grown-up.
Anyway, the lamp, in all it's cheesy glory:

I think the style of table-lamp has a huge bearing on whether it's homeowner-y oir not and looking atthis lamp, I'd say you've still got t least one foot in the "student" camp.

On the other hand, one could argue for a midcentury modern vibe, perhaps, and thus balancing out the student part.

At any rate, congrats on moving in to the realm of deliberate, not-just-utilitarian acquisitions for the home.

I hadn't thought about it having a MidMod vibe, but yes.
