Thank you! I'll be buying cinnamon later today! (Strangely enough, I'd already planned on buying cinnamon and nutmeg at my next big shopping trip, but that was a total coincidence .... or was it? I've been hearing things on Radio 4 about self-medicating animals ... I wonder if my body was telling me I needed cinnamon? [g!])

Interesting. In the winter, my last-thing-at-night drink before I brush my teeth and fall into bed is a mug of hot milk with cinnamon. I sprinkle the cinnamon over the top (a lot less than a teaspoonful, though) and pop it in the microwave for 2.5 minutes on the second-to-the-top setting. I like it.
