The ravens expectedly found there was no shoulder to settle on. Expectation made the absence no less real.


One raven holds a handful of memories, tucks them in a pocket, safe.

The ravens fly on. With nowhere to land, the alternative is to ditch in the sea. The ravens will not drown.
