Bertie Bassett sells vitamins!
Feb. 4th, 2004 01:21 pmNow, we know that liquorice has medicinal qualities so nibbling a few of Bertie's Allsorts wouldn't be an entirely bad idea, but.... there are ads on the TV for Bassetts brand vitamins. We've not seen these ads before, nor the products depicted, and, yes, we know Cadbury Schweppes is big enough to encompass more than sweets, but... the vitamins and sweets combination just worries us. We're not even certain why. We most certainly don't believe that foods or medicines that are good for one have to taste bad... but...

But it's hard enough to tell kids, vitamins are medicine not candy, even if they're sweetish chewables. Making the vitamins indistinguishable from candy ... well, as I say, it scares me.
