Protect and Survive
Aug. 4th, 2004 02:41 pmWe've been leafleted. It's not that bad really, except I'd expect any competent adult to know/do most of this stuff anyway.
It has the usual governmental accessibility blindspot:
If you need alternative language versions or formats, pleas complete the form at the back of the booklet.Which is fine and dandy if you can read the note.
And, most importantly the em dash is no more.
Paint us boggled
Aug. 4th, 2004 05:50 pmWe'd just wandered over to the MI5 website (as one does), and noticed an indecipherable squiggle at the bottom of the home page. Which we pressed. And got to this. Nope, we can't find anywhere that'll translate for us. We assume it's a mirror, but there's no way of checking (without intensive language tuition). If we were native Welsh speakers we'd be a tad put out.
