How the rest of the world travels
Oct. 14th, 2004 11:22 pmRavens reduced to cadging lifts and taking buses
This normally happens to folk when a car is out of action, rather than a foot (tho' actually were we legally permitted to drive we wouldn't be able to what with the foot turned black with bruising). But in our case, we've been reduced to public transport because we can't walk the few miles needed. Managed to get a lift to the RPG session as well as from last night, for which we are very grateful (a forty minute walk each way thereby avoided). M rejigged work so that he could pick Looby Loo up from school again this afternoon and provided a lift as close to Borders as we could get (so what with bus only routes and one-way sections, not that close) and we caught the Citi 3 home. Think this the first really frosty evening of the Autumn too and the bus was late, and grrrr. That'll be chilblains (can't get the nice warm sheepskin-lined boots on) alongside the damaged foot.
Bought books: comfort books.
