Friday night we braved the traffic (busy and bad) to drive to Waitrose (empty and good) to buy food and stuff for Saturday's festivities. Looby Loo, although excited beyond the tolerable, actually behaved really well and helped. Home, quick boiled egg supper for LL, sushi for M and the ravens.

Saturday, LL swam, had bath and hair wash and helped with decorating the house. (The balloons go on Thursday. ) Biggle got increasingly excitable as the rooms got tidied and rearranged. Party happened. Almost no tears and upsets. Lots of giggling and screaming and charging around. About the right numbers. Too much food left over. Mostly a success.

Sunday, rehearsal late morning, a snatched lunch, concert all afternoon. With roughly fifty kids, each with their own little performance, it's a mammoth do. LL, despite nerves and being rather tired and subdued, was lovely. Missed winning the raffle--by one. Evidently one win per week is enough. (Any further thoughts about Sunday will likely be over at pianino.)

Today without even the trip to piano lesson after school, it's an ordinary day. May take LL into town instead to put some money in the building society, buy her Xmas cards and look at the pretty lights.
