Autumn

Arriving home from CWIL (a (I think) record 13 in attendance and we critted widdershins) last night, I found the babysitter curled up on the sofa with a large white cat curled up beside her. Big's not done the snuggling the sitter routine for several months.

This morning the house is cold--cold enough to turn up the stove.

I hereby cut the ribbon, swing the old bottle of plonk, and declare this season of autumn open.

I've just over-ridden the heating, so the house will be warm for Mum when she gets home. I concur!

(Our heating isn't on yet, but I did get round to chopping a bit more wood. And we've declared the swimming pool closed.)
