  1. Finding little old lady cat attempting to pee in all sorts of bad places.

  2. Phoning the vee ee tee (with cat howling in the background).

  3. Taking the cat for (expensive) treatment.

Yup. It's the bank holiday uti. Again. So, painkillers injected, antibiotics injected, subcutaneous fluids applied.

Good things: we weren't planning to go away; the cat has come home rather than requiring hospitalisation.

Interesting thing: we were at the alternative location as the main surgery was a victim of Saturday's floods. No records at the alternative venue, as the electricity is off at the flooded site. (Failed to think ahead over this and dig out all the paper records we have of previous dates, drugs, etc.)

Have ordered a cat fountain. Also bought grooming wet wipes for cleaning of grotty animals.

The excitement! The relaxation! The... oh well.

I haven't encountered a "cat fountain" before - can you tell me more?

Am sorry to hear that you've had to cope with Holly on top of all this. I hope Little's innards and your carpets are happier.

Yikes! what marvellous timing. :-/
Hope she likes the fountain. I think they're pretty nifty, if not nearly so enchanting as the one you describe.
