26, a very boring number
Mar. 28th, 2013 11:17 pmA meme!
How this works:
You comment, I give you an age (please tell me how old you currently are - I don't know all of your ages) and you fill out the meme questions with what applied to you back then, and now.
bugshaw gave me 26. This was 1992-93. I confess to remembering little of interest about that year.
I lived in: Cambridge, the UK one, with M, and some--3--cats.
I drove: people mad. This was not, however, the year I had lessons in driving a car just in case we emigrated.
I was in a relationship with: I married M when I was 25. (In an odd parallel with my mother who also married at 25. We both weighed 6 stone 10 at that age.) So, yes, married to M.
I feared: Dunno. Heights, pain. I think by 26 I'd got beyond my belief that we'd all go up in a nuclear holocaust.
I worked at: PS in P'boro as a tech. writer. Long hours, too much time on the A14/A1, not great pay, good intro. to quality systems, and the point at which I discovered that working in a place without a majority of Oxbridge-level graduates would do my head in.
I wanted to be: in Cambridge more. F1 world champion. Recipient of Nobel Peace Prize.
Now, at 46.
I live in: Cambridge, the UK one, in the same house as 20 years back, with M, Looby Loo, and some--3--cats (different ones)... and two hens, and a tank of fish. We also own more books than we did then.
I drive: people mad. Cars, still a no.
In a relationship with: Still married to M. This never ceases to amaze me. (Still have my wedding dress and my mother's: neither fit!)
I feared: Dunno. Heights, pain,... break-up of civil society.
I work at: homemaker for a decade, more and more serious OU student. (The end of transitional arrangements looms and I want that BSc.)
I want to be: a graduate student, a better parent, in paid employment again. F1 world champion.
