I'm beginning to think our house misses us when we go away. Why else should it throw a temper tantrum and break a pice of plumbing as soon as we get back from a trip? (It's not the first time.)
Amazingly small amount of chaos from the cats. groliffe and C must have been specially good to them.
Trip to Waterhouses very pleasant--even the snow--and drive home bearable.
My only gripe is the paucity of crockery, comfortable seats, or even seats at all, in the rented cottage.

Date: 2014-12-28 09:52 pm (UTC)It's sad that the idea that the date of a house's construction and subsequent changes should have any impact on the availability of a hot shower is much less likely than the fact that you have been away and thus using less water and/or running things at lower temperatures. And that is far less likely to have any effect than the usual ability of boilers to throw the dice so that the hot water goes off when you most want it.
I deny all the above, should I convince a daytime TV programme of the idea of the 'House Psycho-Detective' concept.
