The Perils of being an Aged Cat
Feb. 6th, 2015 03:38 pmLittle sleeps a lot—even for a cat. And she sleeps exceedingly deeply. She favours positions where her head is lower than her body. With the inevitable risk of slippage. Regularly her humans fail to catch her before she hits the ground still completely relaxed and snoring. She wakes up on the floor very confused.
Sometimes.
If she slides off me in the middle of the night, she tends to come to rest, supine, all her pink jelly beans upmost, as if a small pocket of gravity had reversed and she was merely intending to land on the ceiling.
Doesn't always work. She has slipped off my lap and hit the floor headfirst on several occasions.
