If I feed my hens leftovers including chocolate spread, will they lay me chocolate eggs? (Actually, since it's Nutella, we might be doomed to get Ferrero Rocher.)

Indeed. In general I'm with you on that. But the sandwich containing the spread was 36 hours old and heading for stale.
