The Plot...
May. 12th, 2003 02:35 pmWell, not thickens. Not quickens, either.
We went to take some "before" photos. It's been mown already! Wow! It now doesn't merely look big. It looks huge. We took pictures, some rhubarb, a wander around. About thirteen paces by about thirty-three. Bigger than many a back garden. We pulled up a few weeds, but without gloves we couldn't do much. We gathered up bits of non-organic rubbish and tidied them to the edge of the plot. At least, if it gets rotovated, there'll be less mess.
And since no-one seems to want the plottery moving yet, we'll keep it here. But with a new user pic.
Gardening gloves
Date: 2003-05-12 06:44 am (UTC)Cheap gardening gloves are available from the obvious places (gardening supply places, homebase, hardware stores) plus quite often in supermarkets (my Tescos has a big section at the moment of gardening stuff, including several choices of gardening glove)
Good luck with the allotment and let us know how it goes (and we're all looking forward to sampling your rhubarb crumble one day!)
Re: Gardening gloves
Date: 2003-05-12 07:11 am (UTC)We'll need 'em. Biggle has spent the last hour or so sniffing very attentively and thoroughly around my hands, which is exquisitely tickly but unfortunately gets the unhealed patch on the back of my left hand screaming again. And also means he's standing on the keyboard.
You're welcome to some crumble anytime ;-)
