...inevitably. Even on the subject of flash mobbing. Of all the coverage, apart from the interview (on R4?) which actually explained the kinks in the from other reports apparently smooth running first London manifestation, the article in the Torygraph (You have been flash mobbed) is by far the most interesting.

Whilst the concept amuses, we're unlikely to take part. We don't like crowds. We don't even like crowds in which we are likely to meet folk we know. To be quite honest, our feeling that the intersection of UK fandom and UK flash mobbers was potentially huge, borne out by the Torygraph's definition of the activity as " the sort of fun you might enjoy if you are in your early 30s, read science fiction and work with computers.", disinclines us further. Not, we hastily add, that we don't like UK fandom, it's just we sometimes feel it's the same old folk time and time again.

Still, there are places in Cambridge we'd be tempted to suggest....

Our sympathies to [livejournal.com profile] the_magician, assuming he's chez lui and has no nifty fans around. Although with his gadget buying habits, lack of fans seems unlikel;y.
