So, there'll be no funding for sport outside the capital for the next six or seven years. There'll be chaos in the capital whilst the infrastructure et al gets upgraded, or there'll be chaos at the games because the infrastructure hasn't been upgraded. Or both.

And it could all go pear-dome-shaped.

I know where I won't be when its on...

If I'm still living ion Cthulhu Towers at the time, I'll be renting it out to sports fans at a usorious rate - its only a short walk from Cambridge Heath station, so will be ideal for commuting to the games - if the trains work!

Ca me gene aussi. As if we couldn't find a btter use for the money -- say school infrastructure, hospitals, mental health services, homelessness initiatives, supprt for the elderly... I could go on, but Mr Blair just loooves his showbusiness
