We didn't get an egg today. I guess even Fred's finding this run of damp weather a little too much. She and Jack both looked really miserable again today. But at least Jack's cough has gone: yup hens can catch colds.

Tomorrow, so long as it's not sheeting down, I'm going to clean out the coop. After the amount of mud traipsed in and out this week, it's going to be a complete clean out and not just en emptying of the litter tray.

I must also remember that whilst cabbage leaves and cabbage stalk are fine--almost as good as dandelion leaves--cauliflower leaves are, apparently, no good. Raisins, however, rock (but not sultanas).
