I signed, with minor trepidation, since I will now presumably be on a list somewhere that, as the surveillance society becomes more so, may turn out not be a good list to be on.

Oh, I'm s-o-o listed I've ceased to care.

(I do, otoh, warn LL that many of the political "explanations" I offer are probably extreme and would possibly get me locked up in other countries and repeating them to other people might get her in trouble.)

Absolutely! Making people afraid of such lists is one of the ten standard steps toward converting a democratic society into a totalitarian dictatorship.
